Released and Restored provides inmates and ex-offenders in Nebraska with the tools and support systems needed to learn how to live productive, moral, ethical, and legal lives in our communities after their release from prison or jail.

We want to give a huge shout-out and thank you to the Woods Charitable Foundation for awarding us a 2-year $55,000 grant!

Funds from this very generous grant will be used to provide our EMPWR program to the women at the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln!!!  EMPWR was developed and designed by Released and Restored to address the unique needs of incarcerated women.

EMPWR    (Embracing My Personal Worth and Resiliency)

More than 95% of whom have experienced physical violence at the hands of an intimate partner, and 68% of whom were sexually abused as children.

  • Assists women in dealing with past trauma.
  • Encourages women to embrace their own innate dignity and worth
  • Equips them to move out of the cycle of abusive relationships and addiction
  • Prepares them to become self-directed and self-sustaining women who can care for themselves and their children.
